Electric Chair & Gas Chamber
Differences Among Execution Actors
Differences in preferences for methods of execution become more pronounced when lethal injections are set aside. As executions become more unpleasant to witness, Soft Abstract Supporters are less likely favor such methods (and would refuse to witness any executions anyway). Executioners are significantly more comfortable with executions using the electric chair and the gas chamber when compared to abstract supporters (soft and hard). Hard Abstract Supporters are significantly more comfortable than Soft Abstract Supporters with executions using the electric chair and the gas chamber. These forms of execution are more overt in the level of suffering, when compared to a 'glitch-free' lethal injection where the condemned woman or man relaxes (1st drug) and slips into unconsciousness (2nd drug) before the third drug stops the heart.
