The 6 items were subjected to exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Factors with eigenvalues greater than 1.0 were to be rotated to a varimax solution. A single factor emerged, indicating the unidimensional characteristics of the item set. The single factor accounted for 51.3% of the explained variance in the item set. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the 6-item index was .80, indicating that the index is reliable.
